Marmodur est un sol composite mince en marbre, fabriqué à partir d’un liant biopolymère et d’agrégats de marbre, ce qui donne un sol solide et semi-industriel. Marmodur est biosourcé et exempt de matériaux de la Red List. Marmodur est flexible, résistant à une utilisation intensive et peut être rénové facilement.

Marmodur possède une apparence et un toucher uniques. Lisse et structuré vont de pair et créent ensemble un look inimitable. La composition du mélange de marbre peut être adaptée selon des besoins spécifiques. Des mélanges de couleurs peuvent être réalisés pour soutenir l’identité de l’entreprise. La couleur de Marmodur est entièrement déterminée par la couleur des particules de marbre.

Duracryl produces floorcoverings based on natural and renewable materials. This has a major advantage on climate change compared with fossil based products. For accountability of the impact of the carbon footprint of each flooring product we are using the definition of “Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons School of Design” in New York, a leading authority on this subject. “Currently, there is no universal threshold for ‘low embodied carbon’ in flooringmaterials. After discussing this research with experts, we have set a rigorous standard that can meet 2030 emission goals. These products, labeled with ‘LEC’, embody below 5kg of CO2 per square meter” All Duracryl products comply with this standard and are referred to as “Climate Positive Flooring”

Marmodur is a pure blend of biopolymer and marble aggregates providing a flexible and sustainable floor. Marmodur comes in a wide range of colors and can be customized. Marmodur is Red List Free and BREEAM and LEED certified.

application

Marmodur is a thinset semi resilient floor finish and is seamlessly applied on large areas without joints. Marmodur is hardwearing and high resistant to heavy trafficed areas like shops, restaurants and public areas.

appearance

Marmodur is a robust and strong floor finish which resembles a composite terrazzo look. The density of the aggregates may vary since it is randomly applied. Special Riviera collection is available.

thickness

The Marmodur has an overall thickness of 3 to 4mm.

design

Unlimited possibilities with the color of the binder and the mixing of the aggregates allowing designers to create their own visual. A novel take on classic artwork terrazzo flooring, offering endless design opportunities to integrate storytelling in your flooring design.

hardening and curing

Marmodur is ready for foot traffic at 15°C within 24 hours. The full hardening has occurred after 7 days assuming a temperature of 15°C. After curing the floor is ground to the desired surface.

Regular removal of dust and if necessary wet cleaning with a neutral cleaning agent. For further instructions see the maintenance instruction guide.

installation

The concrete or screed subfloor has to be primed and levelled with a self levelling smoothing compound to obtain a flat and levelled surface. Uneven surfaces have to be leveled by e.g. diamond grinding prior to the levelling compound. All dust and loose parts have to be fully removed from all surfaces before the product is applied, preferably using a brush and/ or industrial vacuum cleaner. Prior to the installation of the Marmodur a suitable primer needs to be applied. During the installation the room temperature needs to be at least 62 °F (15,5°C). The floor temperature need to be at least 59 °F (15°C) and minimum 3 °F (3 °C) above the dew point.
